About
Angie Georgaras graduated from Loyola University Chicago in 2020 with a double major in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience and Psychology, and a minor in Computer Science. She then worked under Drs. Olusola Ajilore and Alex Leow as a research associate in the Computational Neuroimaging and Connected Technologies (CoNECt) Lab at UIC, where she studied the neurobiological, social, clinical, and cognitive factors underlying depression recurrence after remission in the context of late-life-depression. She is interested in utilizing connectomic and machine learning techniques to study network differences in presentations of depression characterized by cognitive dysfunction and multiple relapses. She is also interested in digital based interventions to promote and prolong remission.
Interests: connectomics, machine learning, depression, cognition, neuroimaging
