About

Maddie is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience with a minor in education. During her undergraduate years, she worked in Dr. Katrina Adams' lab studying multiple sclerosis, specifically focusing on Endothelin-1 signaling in neural stem cell response during demyelination, utilizing cuprizone-induced mouse models and conditional knockout approaches. She earned an undergraduate fellowship from the Center for Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine at Notre Dame. When not in the lab, Maddie enjoys cheering for (or crying over) Notre Dame football, reading a good book, or making a new pasta dish.
