Greetings, My name is Braeden Rodriguez, and I’m a PhD candidate in the Graduate Program in Neuroscience. I majored in Chemistry at Kalamazoo College, with a concentration in Biochemistry and a minor in Psychology. At the University of Chicago, I worked on projects investigating the dorsolateral striatum’s role with Parkinsonian motor deficits, nicotine aversion, and nociception. Currently, I’m interested in the neural bases of higher-order cognition, learning, and consciousness.
