About
Luis is a graduate student in the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) at UIC-COM. He received a bachelor’s degree in cell and molecular biology from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras campus. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD in Dr. Orly Lazarov’s lab, where he focuses on the process of adult hippocampal neurogenesis and it’s dysfunction in Alzheimer’s disease.
