About
Zach is a graduate student who joined the GPN program in 2023. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from UIC, Zach worked as a research technician in Dr. Akira Yoshii's laboratory in the Department of Anatomy & Cell Biology where he helped develop novel treatments for rare neurodevelopmental disorders. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD in Dr. Joseph Zak's lab in the Department of Biological Sciences. Zach's research focuses on how sensory experience shapes olfactory circuitry and modifies cortical representations of peripheral inputs.
