Alison graduated from Miami University in 2022 with a BA in psychology and neuroscience and a minor in physics. During her time at Miami she researched effects of psilocybin on behavior across hormonal cycles. After completing her undergraduate degree she spent time working at Loyola University Chicago researching RNA editing processes in psychiatric illness before joining the GPN in 2023.
